For over two years of fighting the pandemic (2020-4/2022), Vinmec has supported manpower to field hospitals, assisting overloaded facilities nationwide. In Hải Phòng, Vinmec treated nearly 100 severe COVID-19 patients, accompanying families through fear and loss. Despite the urgency and overload, in August 2021, four healthcare workers from Vinmec Hải Phòng decisively moved to the hotspot in Ho Chi Minh City to examine and treat COVID-19 patients, easing the burden on field hospitals there.
Facing immense pressure in the pandemic zone, working tirelessly in full protective gear under the summer sun, with irregular meals, lack of sleep, and difficult conditions, Vinmec healthcare workers united to collect a massive volume of test samples. Under the direction of the Hải Phòng People's Committee, Vinmec screened over 30,000 SARS-CoV-2 samples within the city.
Amid the rapidly increasing number of infections, the COVID-19 vaccination campaign was intensified to prevent severe complications. Vinmec Đà Nẵng was on standby, supporting the Department of Health in wide-scale COVID-19 vaccination, administering up to 5,000 doses. Simultaneously, Vinmec Hải Phòng administered nearly 16,500 vaccine doses to healthcare workers, industrial workers, pregnant women, students, and others. Vinmec Hạ Long participated in 15 vaccination rounds in communes and districts in Quảng Ninh Province in 2021, raising the vaccination rate to 93.3% (among the top 5 in the country).
The devastating outbreak further fueled the spirit of solidarity among pandemic fighters. Vinmec actively implemented community volunteer activities, providing medical care for COVID-19 patients in various localities. In October 2021, Vinmec Hạ Long supported COVID-19 patients through the Companion Doctors Network, which mobilizes the collective strength of society to support those with limited or no access to healthcare during the crisis. Vinmec daily assessed and stratified patient risks, persistently monitoring the health of patients who had not yet accessed local healthcare. Ensuring no one was left behind, Vinmec healthcare staff tirelessly connected with the community and alleviated the stress caused by COVID-19.

Throughout this period, Vinmec also supported materials to contribute to the country's pandemic prevention efforts. From 2021 to 2022, Vinmec Hạ Long International General Hospital participated in the emergency team, providing emergency transportation to support local COVID-19 vaccination efforts in Quảng Ninh Province. At overloaded pandemic hotspots nationwide, Vinmec fully mobilized personnel and emergency vehicles to support the community.
With the contributions of the entire Vinmec healthcare system across the country, actively supporting manpower, facilities, and morale, the community will be strengthened to close the door on the COVID-19 pandemic.
