Vinmec Da Nang passes the Ministry of Health's assessment - Ready to receive COVID-19 patients

On the morning of August 4, Deputy Minister of Health, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Truong Son, Head of the Ministry of Health's special standing unit in Da Nang City, visited and inspected the pandemic prevention work at Vinmec Da Nang International General Hospital. The Deputy Minister inspected the facilities and operations in the testing area and the yellow zone of the Hospital.

Currently, Vinmec Da Nang has prepared medicine, protective clothing and assigned personnel to receive, care for and treat patients when notified by local health authorities. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Van - Director of Vinmec Da Nang Hospital reported to the Deputy Minister about the patient triage as well as the logistics preparation to ensure the health of staff when treating COVID-19 patients, pledging that all staff of the Hospital will make every effort with Da Nang and the whole country in the fight against the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.

Da Nang City is putting into use the first field hospital and continuing to build the second field hospital. According to the policy of Da Nang City, when the number of COVID-19 infections in Da Nang increases to over 150 cases, level 4 pandemic level will be activated. At that time, along with several other hospitals in the City, Vinmec Da Nang will receive and treat COVID-19 patients. Starting from August 3, Vinmec Da Nang has supported 2 human resources (nurses and medical equipment engineers) for the construction of the Da Nang field hospital. At the request of the Da Nang Department of Health, Vinmec Da Nang Hospital has also supported the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology to perform 600 Elisa tests on 600 samples of CDC Da Nang.
