Amid the complex and intense progress of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City, from June to August 2021, Vinmec Central Park International Hospital actively participated in the community vaccination campaign.
Vinmec Central Park International Hospital contributed to the vaccination drive with 8 vaccination teams and 1 emergency response team. A total of 50 staff members were on duty, administering vaccines to employees and workers in Thu Duc City High-Tech Park, Linh Trung Export Processing Zone, Binh Thanh District, District 6, and Tan Tao – Pouchen Industrial Zone in Binh Tan District.
During the first phase of the campaign, spanning 5 days from June 21–25, 2021, Vinmec Central Park International Hospital administered nearly 10,000 vaccine doses in Ho Chi Minh City’s High-Tech Park and Linh Trung Export Processing Zone.
In the second phase, starting on July 22, the hospital scaled up its participation with 12 vaccination teams and over 100 healthcare staff. From July 22 to the end of September 2021, Vinmec administered more than 15,000 vaccine doses at Vinmec Central Park Hospital and Vinmec Saigon Clinic. Recipients included volunteers participating in pandemic control efforts, staff of Vingroup in Ho Chi Minh City, and individuals with underlying health conditions.
Additionally, from July 23 to August 6, the hospital safely administered over 17,000 vaccine doses to residents in Binh Thanh District, District 6, and the Tan Tao Industrial Zone. During this time, the hospital promptly managed over 40 cases of anaphylactic shock reactions of grade II severity or higher, especially including 8 cases of grade III, throughout the campaign.
In total, over a span of 19 days, Vinmec Central Park successfully completed more than 42,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to the community, significantly contributing to the success of pandemic control efforts in Ho Chi Minh City by the end of 2021. This achievement marked a major milestone in Vinmec's efforts to combat the pandemic and expand vaccine coverage, along with the nationwide effort during a challenging period.
