Vinmec Healthcare System has closely coordinated with the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow and K Hospital (Ministry of Health) to organize a free program "Screening and early detection of some cancers" from September 9 to October 18, 2017, to raise public awareness of cancer prevention and early detection; create a habit of proactively screening for early detection of cancer.

Throughout the program, the Vinmec Healthcare System, in collaboration with the Cancer Patient Support Fund – Bright Tomorrow and K Hospital, worked closely with healthcare staff at all 18 screening sites to ensure comprehensive reception, guidance, and screening for the public. The three hospitals of the Vinmec Healthcare System (Vinmec Times City International General Hospital, Vinmec Ha Long, and Vinmec Central Park) actively participated in direct consultations, screenings, and free counseling, receiving high praise from the community.

The program received strong support from many major hospitals nationwide and community screening points at commune/ward health stations. Nearly 20,000 people across 8 provinces and cities nationwide have been screened and provided with counseling for breast cancer, cervical cancer, and colorectal cancer.
Through screening, 695 people with positive cancer test results or clinical symptoms suspected of cancer were counseled and underwent specialized tests (breast ultrasound, mammography, colonoscopy, cervical biopsy, etc.) to confirm diagnosis and promptly treat.

In particular, through the screening, cases diagnosed with cancer will be supported by the Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup Group), with treatment costs covered up to 70-100% at Vinmec International General Hospitals nationwide.

The free cancer screening program received a great response from many major hospitals as well as people across the country.

Earlier, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, 2017, the Vinmec Healthcare System also launched a program offering free DNA identification tests for martyrs. This activity was a tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country, while also providing practical support to families in difficult circumstances who are searching for the graves of their fallen relatives nationwide.

In parallel with the implementation of the screening—detection of some cancers—and free DNA testing to identify martyrs, in 2017, Vinmec Healthcare System made a strong impression on the social community by simultaneously implementing a charity surgery program (100% cost) for poor patients, people in difficult circumstances, and people with revolutionary contributions with support of up to 1,500 billion VND from the Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup). More than 3,700 records were received, and more than 1,700 patients were treated.
Many specialties such as oncology, cardiology, organ transplantation, stem cell transplantation, urology, digestive surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, and more, across the entire Vinmec Healthcare System have successfully treated patients and improved their quality of life throughout the country.
