50 Healthcare Workers from Vinmec Central Park Participate in COVID-19 Vaccination Support in Ho Chi Minh City

Joining hands with Ho Chi Minh City to combat the pandemic and responding to the call from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, from June 21, Vinmec Central Park Hospital dispatched doctors, nurses, and support staff to actively participate in COVID-19 vaccination efforts at Cat Lai Industrial Park (District 2), Tan Tao Industrial Park (Binh Tan District), and Thu Duc High-Tech Park (Thu Duc City).

Vinmec's Vaccination Support Team is divided into 7 groups, including 6 Vaccination Teams and 1 Emergency Team, ready to carry out tasks as directed by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health. The participants in this COVID-19 vaccination campaign are skilled doctors and nurses from the Vaccine Center, Internal Medicine Department, and Emergency Resuscitation Department of Vinmec Central Park Hospital.

Each Vaccination Team consists of 2 doctors who conduct pre-vaccination screenings and post-vaccination monitoring for COVID-19 vaccines. Nurses and support staff perform screening, measure vital signs, administer vaccines, and monitor post-vaccination, ensuring a complete screening and vaccination process. The emergency team on standby at the vaccination site includes doctors, nurses, and a driver with the hospital's ambulance. In case of any adverse reactions after the COVID-19 vaccination, the team will immediately provide first aid to stabilize the patient's health and then transport them to the nearest medical facility.

Vinmec Central Park doctors stated: "At Vinmec Hospital, patient safety is a priority. The vaccination process at Vinmec Hospital is carried out in a one-way procedure, focusing on pre-vaccination screening and post-vaccination monitoring. As the Vinmec Central Park team is well-versed in the standard vaccination process from their daily work, all team members quickly adapted to the task and completed their assigned duties efficiently. We are ready to give our all to help the city control the pandemic as soon as possible."

On June 22, the Vinmec Central Park emergency team promptly handled and safely transferred several cases of post-vaccination reactions to the hospital.

To ensure the effectiveness of the task forces, the hospital's management board directly assigns and supports the medical staff daily. Previously, all healthcare workers participating in Vinmec Central Park's task force were trained in COVID-19 vaccination, disease prevention procedures, and equipped with necessary medical tools such as protective gear, medical masks, face shields, blood pressure monitors, and vital sign measurement devices, ensuring safety and efficiency in community vaccination efforts.

As one of the first hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City to achieve JCI international certification for safety and efficiency twice, Vinmec Central Park continuously improves and adheres to operational procedures aimed at the highest safety for patients, especially in the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing Vinmec Central Park's efforts, in January 2021, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health inspection team noted the hospital's exceptional efforts in both developing specialized expertise and effectively preventing COVID-19.
