In the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinmec International General Hospital has quickly launched activities to support human resources and supplies to field hospitals and overloaded medical facilities, to support and accompany the fight against this pandemic. In particular, Vinmec has made an important contribution to supporting Ho Chi Minh City - a locality facing many difficulties in managing medical resources.

Since the outbreak of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Coronavirus (COVID-19), especially since the end of July 2020, Vinmec Times City in Hanoi, along with all hospitals in the Vinmec health system nationwide, has launched and supported volunteer medical staff to examine and treat COVID-19 patients in the localities. This has significantly contributed to reducing the pressure on local medical facilities and ensuring that patients can receive quality medical care.

To support the diagnosis and prevention of COVID-19, Vinmec has continuously screened samples under the direction of local authorities, helping to identify and isolate many suspected cases of infection, thereby preventing the spread of the virus and protecting public health during stressful periods. In addition, Vinmec Times City Hospital was assessed by the Hanoi Department of Health to have fully developed pandemic prevention and control plans in 4 stages, including hospital isolation plans and hospitalization plans for COVID-19 patients, screening, and reasonable arrangements for receiving suspected COVID-19 patients, measures to ensure safety for staff and patients... The inspection team highly appreciated the scientific organization of both expertise and hospital management during the current complicated pandemic period.

At the same time as evaluating the results of operations in 2020, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health inspected and recognized Vinmec Central Park's efforts to prevent the spread of the new strain of Coronavirus. In particular, the establishment of an early screening emergency room and two negative pressure isolation rooms in the hospital's emergency room to prevent infected patients.

Responding to the call of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Vinmec Central Park Hospital has sent doctors, nurses and support staff since June 21, 2021 to actively participate in pandemic prevention work in Cat Lai Industrial Park (District 2), Tan Tao (Binh Tan District) and Thu Duc High-Tech Park (Thu Duc City). In addition, in the context of social distancing, Vinmec Central Park is one of the leading units proactively implementing completely new services in Vietnam, including remote health care, same-day surgery... Vinmec Central Park has been selected by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health as one of 9 hospitals serving passengers entering through Tan Son Nhat Airport who need medical care during the quarantine period.
