Over 100 staff members from Vinmec Da Nang Hospital recently joined forces to participate in the Plogging Run for a Green Da Nang. This meaningful community activity promotes both physical well-being and environmental conservation.
The Plogging Run for a Green Da Nang is a wide-reaching community program organized in Da Nang City, bringing together around 450 volunteers from various companies, organizations, and businesses in the area. Among the participants were over 100 volunteers from the team of doctors and medical professionals at Vinmec Da Nang Hospital, helping to raise awareness among local residents about the importance of exercise and collective action for a cleaner environment.
Plogging, with the motto "Leave no trace behind," is a jogging activity combined with picking up litter—a fitness trend initiated by a Swedish community to protect the environment and reduce the burden of waste on the planet. Unlike regular running, plogging engages more muscle groups. While running and picking up trash, the body needs to bend, squat, and reach up and down. Moreover, carrying a bag of trash that gets heavier contributes to increasing the endurance of the runners. Thanks to these positive effects, plogging is becoming increasingly popular in Vietnam. This is also why Da Nang organized the Plogging Run for a Green Da Nang along Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Pham Van Dong Street, and Son Tra Beach.

The run allowed volunteers to not only enjoy Da Nang's stunning scenery and improve their health but also to collect a remarkable 1.1 tons of trash. This activity has a profound effect on raising awareness about environmental stewardship among local residents and tourists from both within Da NanNang and abroad.
Volunteers from Vinmec Da Nang Hospital expressed their enthusiasm for the program, highlighting it as a chance for their medical staff to inspire a green and healthy lifestyle in the local community and contribute to maintaining the city's beautiful and clean environment.
Beyond the Plogging Run for a Green Da Nang, the Vinmec Da Nang team actively supports various community initiatives, such as providing assistance to communities affected by flooding in Central Vietnam and organizing Mid-Autumn Festival events for local children, furthering Vinmec's commitment to serving the community.
Currently, alongside their dedication to professional development, the doctors and medical staff at Vinmec Da Nang Hospital have a strong sense of community responsibility. Each program they participate in carries a positive message and aims to spread valuable contributions to the community.
