Frequently asked questions when using the MyVinmec application to perform telehealth services

With the success of the service in the past, Vinmec decided to deploy the service encapsulated in the Vinmec’s application. Below are answers to help customers better understand this service.

1. When is the appointment successful?

The appointment is confirmed successfully when you complete the payment within 15 minutes from the time the appointment is recorded.

After receiving the amount paid by the customer, Vinmec will send a message confirming the successful appointment via the registered phone number.

In case after 1 hour from the time of appointment, if you do not receive a message or phone call from Vinmec, please contact Hotline 1900 23 23 89 for support.

2. Can I use multiple devices (phone, computer...) to log in to one account?

Each account can only sign in on one device at a time.

3. Can a relative join the patient's remote service on another account?

Customers can create and connect a Relative Profile to participate in remote healthcare appointments on other devices, as well as co-administer your Health Record at Vinmec.

Please note:

  • Each account only needs to connect a Medical Record once to be able to manage all the health information of that Profile at Vinmec. So, please think twice before sharing your Medical Records connection rights.
  • To ensure the quality of the consultation/medical examination, Vinmec recommends a maximum of 3 people to attend the consultation session.

4. What do you need to prepare for an effective doctor's appointment?

  • Prepare smartphone/tablet with MyVinmec app installed and Medical Record connection
  • Allows the application to connect the camera, microphone
  • High-speed Internet access with a minimum speed of 20Mbps
  • Prepare 15 minutes before the appointment time, Vinmec will remind you to schedule an appointment one day in advance and 15 minutes before the consultation session
  • Have your previous medical examination results ready, including full test results, scans and medications
  • Focus on consultation: similar to face-to-face examination, do not be distracted and interrupted during consultation and must pay full attention to the doctor
  • If you have questions or need help with your consultation, talk to your doctor.

5. Does health insurance pay for Telehealth?

Please contact the insurance company to confirm whether the patient's insurance policy will cover telemedicine.

Although the patient's insurance policy applies to direct payment with the Hospital, Vinmec regrets not providing cash service in the case of telemedicine. Vinmec will assist you in preparing the claim file and sending it to the patient's insurance company if necessary.
