The search for children born to Vietnamese women married to French men living in other countries

Following the breakup of their first marriage, the Vietnamese couple - the French husband - formally reunited in the same home with a romantic wedding in France. The search for a child for the two brothers and sisters was fraught with difficulties, but it ended happily at Vinmec Hospital.

After their first marriage ended in divorce, the pair met and fell in love. Vu Thi Lanh (born 1987) had a son at the time, and Thierry Pennel had a son and a daughter. With a romantic wedding in France, they officially returned to the same house. Past pains have faded away, and they have found peace in life.

Lanh opted to put off having additional children at this time because her three children were still young, so she could devote her time and energy to caring for them.

As the children grew older and life became more stable, Thierry and Thierry began to contemplate having more children in order to strengthen their family. The couple has been waiting for the wonderful news for a long time, despite not utilizing birth control measures.

Lanh's fallopian tubes were clogged, so she and her spouse took each other to a large hospital in France to be checked. Lanh was exhausted after two years of unsuccessfully seeking infertility therapy in France. Nonetheless, the desire to have more children remains a smoldering fire.

When Thierry was offered a position in Shanghai, China, Lanh discussed it with her husband and returned to Vietnam for infertility treatment, hoping that luck would smile.

"Back home, through some connections and research, I was referred to Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Chien, an infertility specialist at Vinmec Times City International Hospital," Lanh explained.

Ms. Lanh began injecting egg-stimulating medications in the beginning of 2019 as part of a customized treatment plan. She aspirated four eggs to fertilize at the moment. A doctor implanted two embryos to her in the hopes that the baby would return to her.

However, on the day of the checkup to see if the embryo had implanted, she was heartbroken to hear the doctor inform that the fertilization process had failed. "I was ready to give up after days of wanting and finally being disappointed. I was having trouble getting pregnant and considered using a surrogate. Dr. Chien, on the other hand, confirmed that was the remedy in this case. In the event of a force majeure situation involving my health, he will make every effort to assist me in becoming pregnant "Lanh remarked.

Doctor Chien advised her to give it another shot. Fortunately, she obtained 6 healthy embryos when she did egg retrieval and created embryos in the next cycle.

Doctor Chien stayed with Thierry and his wife for the next few days, encouraging Lanh to be patient, running more tests and sending them to France and Japan to figure out why the embryo was good but didn't conceive.

Doctor Chien recommended that she undergo a series of clinical tests, including the Endometrial Immunoassay, which is a method for assessing immune disorders in the uterine lining when IVF has failed several times, and the Era test, which is a method for determining the implantation window, vaginal microflora, and accurately diagnosing whether the patient has endometritis or not. This is the first procedure utilized in Vietnam to figure out why IVF doesn't work. Lanh had an immunological disease in the uterine lining, according to the findings. Doctor Chien decided to try a new treatment method that involved utilizing medicines to alter Lanh's uterine environment, making it more conducive to conception.

When the doctor informed them that the embryo had implanted and was developing normally in the mother's body, they were overjoyed. The couple cried and hugged each other after hearing the good news. I've returned to my brothers and sisters after many ups and downs.

Lanh is still in the early stages of pregnancy, and there will be many challenges ahead that will necessitate meticulous attention to the doctor's pregnancy maintenance protocol. Doctor Chien was present throughout the entire procedure, from conception to delivery, and directly observed and dealt with any conditions that put the fetus in danger.

"IVF pregnancy is generally weaker than normal pregnancy and necessitates more attention. I virtually always stay at home to recover, walk slowly, avoid strenuous activity, and use prescription birth control.

My spouse and I's three-year odyssey is likewise going to come to an end. I would have given up halfway if it hadn't been for Doctor Chien's encouragement”, Lanh shared.
