The 27-week-old twins finally made it back to their mother's side after much difficulty.

The first challenge that preterm/extremely premature newborns must face after birth is taking their first breath. A group of skilled medical professionals, cutting-edge technology, and contemporary equipment are essential traveling companions. At Vinmec Times City General Hospital, Hoai Thu gave birth to twins successfully despite much suffering and adversity.

The brave mother had shared lines about the path to have children and thanked the team of highly qualified doctors and nurses, conscientious, and responsible when everything was back on track and the two kids were safe.

An exact quote from Hoai Thu's letter is provided below: "74 days in hospital, happy and sorrowful, that day I will never forget. When I learned I was pregnant with two children, I was ecstatic. However, the happiness did not last long, as the tragic news soon followed. I had to have a c-section starting at week 27 when my water broke. My heart was in excruciating pain as I watched the mother and daughter briefly interact before they had to separate to observe the two young children lying in a glass cage and putting on a breathing tube.

I was overjoyed when the Thai doctor told me I was carrying a Kangaroo, but I was in a grave situation because the baby could not be weaned off the breathing tube. I couldn't believe I could take care of you so fast after the 60 days had passed. Ms. Dung cheerfully delivered clear instructions despite Mother's shock. Cu Cai choked on milk shortly after I got back in the room with my mother, stopped breathing, and became purple. After an emergency one minute later, I was able to breathe, but my mother was only able to stand outside and lose her limbs.

For me, that time felt like a protracted nightmare, but thankfully, the NICU staff, including the grandmothers, aunts, and uncles, helped us get through the most difficult time. Uncle Thai, Mrs. Binh, Ms. Nga, Ms. Thu, and Dung B all inspired comfort and motivation in me, I still recall them. Despite being quite young and single, Uncle Tuan provides excellent care for his kids and is always friendly and open to his family. Thank you for taking care of the emergency, Uncle Lan, Uncle Dung, Uncle Tuan, Ms. Thuy, Ms. Oanh, Hien, Nga, Thu, Quyen, and Ms. Nga.

The family expresses its gratitude in particular to Dr. Trieu Thi Hong Thai for her work treating Kim Chi and Cuu. Dr. Trieu Thi Hong Thai was especially supportive to Kim Chi whenever she felt weak, living up to the proverb "A doctor is like a loving mother." – excellent at professionalism and responsibility.

Every aunt and uncle has a golden heart, and they have all done kind, honorable, and responsible things for the life of a child, making the mother cry. This is a priceless gift.

Doctor Ngo Van Dan, Uncle Quynh, Ha, Ms. Thu, Anh Lan, Nga, Dung, Tho, Tham, and several others are still among those with golden hearts. The doctors and nurses in the Neonatal Department of the Hospital restore life to the grandchildren and smile to all families with preterm newborns by performing medical examinations and providing treatment. Parents and children express their sincere gratitude to them.

I wish the hospital's doctors, nurses, and other staff members continued good health, happiness, and professional success!

One of the most difficult, risky procedures is the treatment of preterm newborns. Premature babies are cared for and treated at Vinmec directly in the delivery room with close coordination between the obstetrics and neonatology specialists, ensuring that severely premature babies receive timely and appropriate respiratory assistance. The requirements for children to reclaim their lives are maintaining body temperature, avoiding hypothermia, maintaining normal blood sugar, and preventing infections.

The treatment outcomes for preterm babies at Vinmec have been successful, saving the lives of numerous premature births that seemed to have little chance of survival because of the application of current technology and the passion of a team of doctors and nurses. At Vinmec, the care and nurturing of premature children in particular and infants with diseases in general is just as effective as it is in developed nations, boosting the likelihood that premature infants will be saved and survive and providing hope for infertile families.
