  • Remedy to cure asthenia: two pigeons, 15 grams of Chinese yam, 10 grams of longan , Snow fungus 10 g, lotus seeds 15 g, Caterpillar fungus 15 g, ginger and rock sugar. The pigeons are cleaned with all the internal organs removed. The lotus seeds are boiled in a pot first, next use a chopstick to stir, then remove the outer shell. Steam the lotus seeds and pigeons with a layer of ginger above, then, Caterpillar fungus, Chinese yam, longan, Snow fungus and rock sugar into the pot. Next, pour boiling water into a bowl of pigeon meat till full then cover it. Finally, steam for 3 hours. Use this remedy for 1 week.
  • Recipe to treat impotence, anemia and  dizziness: Use a cleaned pigeon, remove the intestines then chopped it, dry and pulverize, mix with 12 grams of hardy rubber tree and 4 grams of salt. Finally,  intermingle the mixture with honey and form it into corn kernel size. Drink twice a day with 15 tablets each time together with warm water, so as to strengthen the kidneys and masculinity.
  • Remedy to treat irregular menstruation: long-term menstrual irregularity: make a cake by using pigeon blood and loofah powder, then dry it and grind it into powder when needed to use. When you are hungry, use 8 grams with alcohol twice a day.
  • Remedy for spleen and liver Qi, , especially for the people who have just recovered from sickness. To begin with, we clean the pigeon with the intestines removed, then chop it. Next, mix the chop with 30 grams of dry mongolian milkvetch and 30 grams of dry goji berry. At last, steam the mixture untill extremely well done.  When drinking, you can add a little spice to eat as a whole. Use this remedy every 3 days, totally about 3-5 times.
  • In order  to assist in diabetes, use the following formulae: cook the pigeon meat with 15 grams of , Snow fungus or 30 grams of Chinese yam and  20 grams of Solomon's-Seal. Adopt this formula once a day, but do not add any spices when using it.

Even though pigeon meat has a high nutritional value and is good for health, some individuals should avoid using these dishes, for example, people with high sexual desire or libido shouldn’t been using food from pigeon as its nutrition would boost libido to another level

Women in pregnancy, especially people who rarely do exercise should avoid it as well because of some unsuitable nutrition for the fetus
