Maternity Le Thi Nhung, a 26-year-old woman from Cua Duong, Phu Quoc, was first in labor when she was taken to Vinmec Phu Quoc Hospital at 39 weeks pregnant. Ms. Nhung successfully gave birth to a baby boy, weighing 3.6 kg, in a stable and healthy condition, with the help and support of the doctors and midwives at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The following is a letter of appreciation from Ms. Le Thi Nhung to the group of medical professionals and midwives at Vinmec Phu Quoc International General Hospital:
“The team of obstetricians and gynecologists, including Drs. Tran Thi Phuong Loan, Le Van Linh, and Nguyen Thai Ngoc Chau, as well as the midwives Dang and Hanh and the department's nurses, are gratefully acknowledged by our family. During pregnancy monitoring at the hospital, obstetrics and gynecology have taken care of patients, and a successful delivery took place on March 2.
I've never been a mother before. The first time is always uncertain, untrained, and unaware of how giving birth feels. My wife and I first talked a lot about where would be the safest place to bring our first child. Fortunately, the island is home to a renowned international hospital with cutting-edge technology, skilled obstetricians, and a dedicated staff. After my first pregnancy checkup at Vinmec Phu Quoc, I was impressed by the attentive care I received from the obstetricians and nurses as well as the security officer who opened my car door and made an appointment. My wife and I made the decision to have our first child in this location.
With only a few hours of labor agony, my delivery went extremely smoothly. The physicians and nurses in the delivery room constantly urged me to have faith in myself, to put suffering aside, and to try to do what they said. I started experiencing discomfort at 11 o'clock at night, went to the hospital, and within three hours, my son started wailing. I can still clearly recall how happy I felt without end.
My mother and I were cared for in the boarding room after giving birth in a very clean and professional manner. The infant was only a few hours old when he received two injections of vitamin K and hepatitis B into each of his legs. After that, he obediently dozed off in his mother's arms.
Drs. Loan and Linh instructed me how to take care of him and supplement with nutrients before I was allowed to leave the hospital. This was beneficial for both the mother and the infant.
I hope the hospital's doctors and nurses have good health and the opportunity to gain more experience so they may continue to serve as a trustworthy and reputable address for expectant mothers to send their full support.”
