Hello,

Regarding your question about “how to treat vaginal flatulence after giving birth”, the doctor would like to provide the following information:

Vaginal flatulence symptom occurs when gas trapped in the vagina or uterus is released, often resulting in sound. This phenomenon can happen during or after sexual intercourse and may also occur post-delivery. Generally, this condition does not pose a health risk to women.

To help reduce this issue, it is recommended that you practice pelvic floor exercises, such as Kegel exercises. If the muscles are excessively loose, cosmetic surgery may be considered. However, if a gynecological examination reveals no signs of inflammation, you can feel reassured.

If you have further questions regarding the treatment of vaginal flatulence after giving birth, please consider visiting a hospital within the Vinmec Health System for a thorough examination and consultation. Thank you for trusting us with your questions, and we wish you good health.

Best regards!
