I'm not sure if it's because I was made to feel welcome and psychologically at ease, because I waited in a calm, clean, and quiet waiting room, because the radiation time was adjusted to fit my schedule, or for any other reason, but I found that my six weeks of treatment went smoothly and comfortably. I eagerly await treatment time each day so I may say hello to and share my thoughts with the medical staff and other patients receiving the same care. The live orchestra that performs classical music every day in the hospital foyer makes me feel calm as I leave. I occasionally ask the band to play my favorite songs, and they cheerfully oblige. I felt extremely happy when I returned home.
I was a little concerned about money the day I was released from the hospital.
