Before taking this medicine do not use it if you are allergic to timolol or if you have:

Betimol is not approved for use by anyone under 2 years of age.

Follow all directions on the medication label and read all medication instructions or leaflets. Your doctor may change the dose of the drug. The medicine should be used exactly as directed by the doctor.
Do not use Betimol while wearing contact lenses. Betimol may contain a preservative that can discolor contact lenses. After using this medicine, if you want to put on contact lenses, wait at least 15 minutes. Hands should be washed before using eye drops. How to put eye drops Tilt your head back slightly and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small groove. Bring and hold the dropper tip above the eye with the tip facing down. Close your eyes for 2 or 3 minutes with your head down, without blinking or squinting. Gently press your finger against the inner corner of your eye for about 1 minute to allow the fluid to drain into the tear duct. Use only the amount of eye drops your doctor has prescribed. If using more than one drop, wait about 5 minutes between drops. Wait at least 10 minutes before using any other eye drops your doctor has prescribed. Do not touch the tip of the eye dropper or touch it directly to the eye. Contaminated droppers can infect the eyes, leading to serious vision problems. Do not use the eye drops if the solution inside has changed color or has precipitated in it. Call your pharmacist for a new medicine. It may take up to a few weeks before symptoms improve. Continue using the medicine as directed and let your doctor know if symptoms do not improve after 4 weeks of treatment. What to do if I miss a dose?
Use the medicine as soon as possible, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not use two doses at the same time.
