Vinmec Times City Continuing Medical Training Center: Training Course: Wound CareWound Care ("CSVT") is one of the essential care skills of Nursing; well-cared for wounds makes the wound healing process faster, prevents complications of infection, reduces treatment costs, increases satisfaction and shortens the hospital stay for patients.
The Continuous Training Program on Wound Care aims to update information related to knowledge and skills in wound care for learners. The program has been approved by the Department of Health for training materials since 2020 and has been implemented at Vinmec Times City Hospital as an annual training activity. This is an important topic for all healthcare staff and has a high demand for training and retraining across the entire system.
1. Output objectives of the training program
- Describe the anatomy and physiology of the skin, the basic characteristics of each type of wound, and the stages of the wound healing process.
- Analyze the importance of pain control, infection control, and nutrition in wound healing.
- Describe the principles of selecting and using cleaning solutions and consumables for wound healing.
- Analyze the stages, causes of pressure ulcers, and the influencing factors.
- Correctly classify the types of wounds and the stages of wound healing in clinical practice.
- Select the appropriate wound-cleaning solutions and consumables for each type of wound.
- Accurately assess pain and provide appropriate pain management when performing wound care for patients.
- Apply suitable health education methods and content for patients and groups of patients with different types of wounds.
- Perform wound care procedures according to the correct technical process, ensuring safety and effectiveness on models or patients.

8. Benefits: Learners will be awarded a CME certificate of 36 hours, coded C26.17, upon completion. Instructors involved in teaching will receive CME hours based on the actual number of hours taught.
Note: Healthcare staff at Vinmec Da Nang Hospital who meet the above criteria are encouraged to register for the course with the training department by June 20, 2024.
