Vinmec participates in the Regional Anesthesia Training Program in Seoul, South Korea

Postoperative residual and chronic pain remain significant concerns in the medical field, prompting numerous campaigns aimed at addressing these issues. In Vietnam, Vinmec is one of the leading hospitals prioritizing and actively advancing safe anesthesia and pain management practices. Participating in the Regional Anesthesia Training Program in Seoul, South Korea, provided Vinmec doctors with an opportunity to update and acquire new advancements in regional anesthesia and pain management.

The Regional Anesthesia Training Program was held in January, February, April, and June 2019 in Seoul, South Korea.

Participant:

Trainer: A team of instructors from the University of Montpellier (France) and Seoul National University (South Korea).
Training Format: New technique training. Training Content: Regional anesthesia techniques for the upper and lower extremities, abdomen, and chest to manage pain during and after surgery, as well as obstetric pain relief.
Post-Training Application:

  • Updated knowledge of regional anesthesia and pain management.
  • Implemented new regional anesthesia techniques guided by ultrasound to manage intraoperative and postoperative pain.
  • Successfully performed 60 cases of quadratus lumborum block, 2 cases of erector spinae plane block, and 8 cases of brachial plexus block.
