This collaboration announced on January 10, 2021, aims to provide comprehensive medical care and post-injury rehabilitation for athletes and the National Golf Team's coaching staff. A notable aspect of this partnership is the inclusion of services related to the Vinmec Motion Lab, the first and only Motion Analysis Research Lab in Vietnam, which helps golfers train and compete according to international standards.

For the first time, high-tech medical services tailored for Vietnamese golfers will be implemented.
Accordingly, Vinmec commits to providing comprehensive medical care services for athletes and the National Golf Team's coaching staff at Vinmec Health System hospitals and clinics nationwide in different phases; supporting medical services or other forms of sponsorship for professional and amateur tournaments, and community golf activities organized by VGA.
The highlight of this signing ceremony is the introduction of Motion Lab services specifically for professional and semi-professional golfers for the first time in Vietnam. This is one of the pioneering medical services in applying technology in sports to quickly enhance performance and scientifically and accurately prevent injuries, currently being applied in developed countries.
Nguyễn Thị Thanh Bình, Director of Business Division at Vinmec Health System, stated: "Vinmec Sports Medicine is proud to be the first and only unit in Vietnam to own the world's most modern Motion Analysis Lab. With this system, Vinmec focuses on Precision Medicine, where all diagnoses and treatments are based on accurate numerical evidence, replacing traditional visual or experiential diagnoses. This is a significant advancement in the field of orthopedic trauma and sports medicine, particularly in detecting injuries and improving performance in detail-oriented sports like golf."

Vũ Nguyên - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) also enthusiastically shared at the signing ceremony: "The application and integration of technology in healthcare and training guidance help golfers maximize their potential, prevent injuries, and return to peak performance after injuries. With the support of Vingroup and Vinmec Health System, we hope this collaboration will initiate the introduction of high-quality, high-tech healthcare into golf in Vietnam, thereby developing the Vietnamese golf community to lead Asia."
First step in cooperation: Biomechanics in Golf Workshop right after the signing ceremony
On the same day, Vinmec and VGA co-organized the Biomechanics in Golf event, led by the creator of this method – Dr. Kwon Young Ho, Director of the Biomechanics & Motor Behavior Lab at Texas Woman's University. He is also known as the mentor of renowned coach Chris Como, who coaches top golfers like Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau. The workshop is the first program in the strategic cooperation between Vinmec and VGA.

Biomechanics in Golf uses modern equipment attached to the athlete's body (Motion Lab) to record the smallest gestures and movements during a golf swing (backswing). Vietnam is the second destination after Thailand where Dr. Kwon conducted a series of workshops sharing the latest advancements in his research, while also directly guiding the correct execution and improvement of backswing techniques. The workshop attracted nearly 40 participants, including professional and semi-professional golfers.
Dr. Kwon shared: "The workshop, supported by Vinmec Hospital and the Vietnam Golf Association, is a collaboration between scientists and golfers. Thanks to Vinmec's top-notch medical equipment, Vietnamese golfers can play scientifically, accurately, and fully apply the Biomechanics method in golf."

Following the successful Biomechanics in Golf workshop, Vinmec will continue to collaborate with VGA and the National Golf Team in upcoming tournaments, as well as continuously organize educational and healthcare programs specifically for the golf community in Vietnam. This partnership with VGA is part of Vinmec Health System's key program to develop preventive medicine and sports medicine. Previously, Vinmec has been collaborating with and supporting many major associations, federations, and sports centers, clearly demonstrating its desire to accompany Vietnamese sports, enhance community health awareness, and fulfill the mission of "Towards a Healthy Vietnam." With continuous investment and leading the application of the most advanced techniques and high technology, along with a team of skilled doctors and experts, Vinmec is becoming the top choice for sports medicine in Vietnam.
