Clinical pharmacy Master's Program at the University of Sydney, Australia

To provide pharmacists with opportunities to access, observe, and learn from advancements in medication management, Vinmec sent MSc. Clinical Pharmacist Bui Thi Thanh Ha to participate in the Clinical Pharmacy Master's Program at the University of Sydney, Australia.

The course took place from March 2017 to December 2018, at the University of Sydney, Australia.

Training Content:

  • Soft skills: Learning and practicing communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals. Techniques for gathering information and consulting with patients, assessing patient needs, and developing suitable pharmaceutical care plans.
  • Integrated pharmacology: Studying comprehensive knowledge related to managing common diseases using a new approach tailored to clinical pharmacists.
  • Clinical pharmacy Services in Australia: Understanding and practicing the Australian clinical pharmacist model, including: Taking patient medical histories, discharge counseling, monitoring hospitalized patients, developing pharmaceutical care plans, managing medication use in chronic patients, providing home-based medication consultations.
