In cases of accidents, injuries, or acute illnesses, pre-hospital care plays a crucial role in improving the chances of successful treatment at the hospital and increasing the patient’s survival opportunities.
To enhance the knowledge and skills of the emergency department in providing the most effective emergency care and improving patient survival rates, Vinmec sent Emergency doctor Dr. Trịnh Ngọc Duy to participate in the Advanced first aid and Pre-Hospital care internship program at St. Anthony Hospital, Denver, Colorado, USA.
The program runs from January 10, 2011, to May 30, 2011.
Participant: Dr. Trịnh Ngọc Duy (Specialist Level I): Emergency Doctor, Emergency Department, Vinmec Times City International General Hospital.
Trainer: Dr. Gerard Esteip: St. Anthony Hospital, Denver, Colorado, USA.
Training Format: Theory combined with practical training.

After completing the training, Dr. Duy applied the knowledge gained from the program to organize and teach the general emergency and pre-hospital emergency care model at Thanh Nhàn Hospital, Hà Nam, Thái Nguyên, Hải Phòng, and Vinmec Hospital, as well as at VinSchool and Vinpearl.
