2.2. Dosage for adults

4. Notes when using Toplexil

Do not use Toplexil in the following cases:

  • Allergy, hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug (especially antihistamines);
  • History of agranulocytosis in the blood;
  • Difficulty urinating due to prostate disease or other diseases;
  • Some forms of glaucoma;
  • Do not use the drug for patients with liver cell failure, or respiratory failure.
  • Pregnant or lactating women;
  • Children under 6 years old.

5. Toplexil drug interactions

Toplexil can change the function of other drugs you are taking, or increase the effects of side effects. This drug contains antihistamines, and active ingredients Oxomemazin and Guaifenesin. To avoid overdose, do not treat at the same time as other drugs containing the same active ingredients.
Drugs that may interact with the cough medicine Toplexil include:

  • Central nervous system depressants such as sleeping pills, anesthetics, Clonidine, Barbiturates, Morphine, Methadone;
  • Atropine and similar drugs: Imipramine, anti-Parkinson's anticholinergic drugs, Atropinic antispasmodics, Disopyramide;
  • Sultopride.
