1. What is Silkron?

Silkron is also known as 7-color medicine. The reason for this name is because the product packaging has a strip of 7 different colors. The medicine contains antibiotics, antifungals, and corticoids used to treat some skin diseases. The ingredients in Silkron include Betamethasone Dipropionate 6.4mg/10g, Clotrimazole 100mg/10g and Gentamicin sulfate 10mg/10g.

2. Uses of Silkron

Silkron is used to treat some skin diseases caused by bacterial or fungal infections, or skin diseases caused by corticosteroids related to bacterial infections such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, diaper rash, exfoliative dermatitis and chronic lichen planus (neurodermatitis).

3. Side effects of Silkron

When you use Silkron, you may experience some side effects such as:

  • Skin irritation

  • Dry skin

  • Folliculitis

  • Hirsutism

  • Acne, worsening of wounds

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Contact dermatitis

4. How to use Silkron

You should use Silkron exactly as directed by your doctor or as directed on the package insert. Do not use more, less, or for longer than directed.

  • Wash your hands before and after applying the medicine. Clean and dry the skin area to be treated

  • You should apply a sufficient amount of Silkron to the affected skin area, not to scratched, sensitive, or ulcerated skin. For adults, apply a sufficient amount of cream gently to the affected skin area twice a day, morning and night. For children, consult a doctor.

  • Avoid contact of Silkron with eyes, nose, mouth

  • Avoid sources of infection or reinfection

  • Avoid wearing tight, rough pants or tight diapers (when the child is applying the medicine in the diaper area)

  • Do not bandage the affected skin area being treated

  • Consult your doctor before using this medicine on open wounds, dry, chapped, irritated or sunburned skin

5. Some notes when using and storing Silkron

5.1 Before taking Silkron

Before taking Silkron, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist if:

  • You are allergic to any ingredient of the medicine.

  • There is no information on the safety of the drug for pregnant women, so it should not be used when pregnant or likely to become pregnant

  • There is no information on whether Silkron affects the quality of breast milk. Caution if using the drug while breastfeeding

5.2 Overdose

In case of emergency or overdose, go to a medical facility immediately for timely support.

5.3 Missed dose

If you forget to take a dose of the drug, apply the drug as soon as possible. However, if it is close to the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue taking the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not double the prescribed dose.

  • Do not apply to open wounds or mucous membranes.

  • Do not use for people who are allergic to the ingredients of the drug, people with skin ulcers, burns of the second degree or higher.

  • Do not use when skin inflammation is caused by bacteria (tuberculosis, syphilis, etc.), fungus (Candida), virus (shingles, chickenpox), insect bites (scabies, lice, etc.)
