2. Effects of Dogmatil 50 mg

Dogmatil 50 mg is a medication usually used to treat, control, prevent and alleviate conditions such as:

3. Dosage of Dogmatil 50 mg

Dogmatil dosage for adults:

  • Daily dose for patients ranging from 200-1000mg. Patients must always follow minimum dose, and if clinical condition allow, doctors may slowly increase dosage

4. How to use Dogmatil 50 mg?

Patients should use Dogmatil 50 mg prescribed by doctors. Do not use it in amounts larger or smaller or for longer than prescribed.
Taken orally, Sulpiride would be absorbed in 4.5 hours; its peak plasma concentration is 0.25 mg/l after taking a 50mg capsule.
The bioavailability of the oral capsule ranges from 25–35%, with considerable individual variation. Plasma concentrations of  Sulpiride are linearly related to the dose taken.

7. What side effects do patients might encounter during Dogmatil use?

Side effects related to endocrine system and metabolism when take Dogmatil 50 mg include:

  • Temporary increased blood prolactin and recovery might cause amenorrhea, galactorrhea, gynecomastia in men, reduced libido, or sexual indifference
  • Weight gain

Neurological side effects (rarely happen if used in recommended dosage):

  • Early movement disorders (torticollis, spasms, ocular rotation, jaw stiffness …)
  • Extrapyramidal syndrome, partially reduced with anticholinergic antiparkinson drugs
  • Tardive dyskinesia with prolonged treatment
  • Drowsiness, often noted during the initial therapy phase

Autonomic nervous system

  • Orthostatic hypotension
