Question
Yesterday I masturbated, then urinated and took a shower. Tonight I had sex with my girlfriend but I didn't ejaculate . 7 hours later, I gave her birth control. Could having sex without ejaculating and took emergency contraceptive pills, result in pregnancy?

Answer
Hello,
When having sexual intercourse without using any contraceptive measures, even if you do not ejaculate, your girlfriend still susceptible for getting pregnant.
In your case, you can give your girlfriend emergency contraceptive (72-hour type). You should take it quickly - preferably within 24 hours after intercourse.
You should also note that birth control pills should not be abused, taking more than 2 pills per month and 3 pills per year. Using emergency contraceptives frequently can affect your health and reproductive function in the long term.
You can refer to contraceptive measures with condoms for safety and high efficiency. If you have any questions, you can go to hospitals in Vinmec Healthcare System nationwide for examination, consultation, and get detailed advice from doctors. Thank you for trusting with your question of whether intercourse without ejaculation and taking emergency contraceptive can lead to pregnancy. Sincerely
