Pham Thi Ngoc Mai, 31, was fortunate enough to be pregnant with twins thanks to IVF at the age of 31. With the belief that giving birth is a significant event in a person's life, Ngoc Mai's family chose Vinmec Hai Phong hospital as the location for the cesarean section of three moms and children.
Ngoc Mai (Luong Khanh Thien, Ngo Quyen, Hai Phong) and her family had the happiest day of their lives on August 6, 2019, when she gave birth to twin boys through Cesarean section: one weighing 2510 grams and the other measuring 1910 grams. Even more so when the two infants are the result of IVF and have to go through the pregnancy with a mother who has gestational diabetes.
At 37 weeks and 4 days of pregnancy, mother Ngoc Mai was brought to Vinmec Hai Phong hospital and diagnosed with preterm labor for the second time, twins, IVF, and gestational diabetes. Ms. Ngoc Mai was scheduled for a cesarean section after consulting with experts. The hospital combined two experienced doctors and two midwives to assist in picking up the infant in order to best prepare for the difficult surgery. After being intensively examined at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for her condition, contractions, cervix progress, and fetus position, Ngoc Mai and her husband entered the delivery room at 9:34 a.m. to welcome two healthy boys weighing 2510 grams and 1910 grams.
Ms. Ngoc Mai was emotional as she described her cesarean section birth at Vinmec: "From start to finish, the physicians, nurses, and nurses were all very gentle and eagerly explained to me in detail." So when I can go into the operating room with my wife and welcome my two babies into the world with the testimony and encouragement of my husband, I feel absolutely secure. This is truly worthy and will leave a lasting impression on my family."
Ms. Ngoc Mai sent the following shares to the Obstetrics Department team of doctors, midwives, and staff at Vinmec Hai Phong International General Hospital:

From my 34th week of pregnancy, the examination procedure was gentle, with compassionate, detailed, and open examination and consultation by Dr. Thu and Dr. Tu, so I am entirely confident in putting my trust in you. Cesarean section was performed on the 37th week of pregnancy.
From beginning to end, the physicians, nurses, and nurses were all very compassionate and cheerfully explained everything to me in detail, so I felt completely confident in welcoming two kids into the world with the witness, my husband's support as he entered the operating room with his wife. This is well worth it, and it will be a lasting memory for my family.
We received all of the encouragement, aid, and support we needed during our stay at the hospital's obstetrics department with enthusiasm and had nothing to complain about.
The sterile air environment at Vinmec is the most unique feature, thus despite the fact that my two infants weigh just 1910 grams and 2510 grams, they are healthy and stay in the room with their mother after only 2 hours in the recovery room.
