Hemprenol drug belongs to the group of drugs for the treatment of dermatological diseases containing Betamethasone dipropionate, which is made in cream form, applied to the skin and packaged in many types such as: box of 1 tube (aluminum) 5g, 10g, 15g, 20g, 25g, 30g; box of 1 tube (plastic) 5g, 10g, 15g, 20g; 25g, 30g.

Betamethasone-containing hemprenol is a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-rheumatic effects. Betamethasone has an immunosuppressive effect when used in high doses. Topical drugs are used to treat skin diseases because they are easily absorbed through the skin.

Degree of absorption through the skin depends on: skin condition, excipients, dressing. Increases absorption through the skin when covered with bandages or applied to damaged skin. Plasma protein binding: little Betamethasone is metabolized mainly in the liver after absorption and renal excretion.

Overdose

Hemprenol causes a burning or stinging sensation for several minutes when applied to the skin. The feeling will go away after using it for a few days.
If the drug is used for a long time, it can thin the skin and cause stretch marks. However, after a while the stretch marks will disappear.
Tell your doctor right away if the following other side effects occur:
Skin becomes redder and swollen, with yellow discharge- a sign of a new infection. In the area where the drug is applied: the skin may be lighter or darker - a sign of changes in skin pigmentation. Pustules under the skin, abdominal pain or dizziness or fainting, muscle weakness, fatigue, mood swings, loss of appetite and weight loss - signs of adrenal gland problems. Confused, drowsy, thirstier or hungrier than usual, urinating more often, hot flushes, starting to breathe fast - signs of high blood sugar. Vision problems may occur after using hemprenol.

Hypersensitivity. Do not use the medicine for large areas of skin damage, scratched skin and in the form of a pressure bandage. Shingles, tuberculosis, herpes simplex, eczema caused by varicella.

Pregnant women:
Small amounts of betamethasone used on small areas of skin are unlikely to cause any problems during pregnancy. There isn't enough research on betamethasone to know if it's safe to use larger amounts during pregnancy, so your doctor will weigh the benefits against the risks. Lactation:
Hemprenol can be used while breastfeeding. If using topically on the breast, wash the medication off the breast, then wash your hands before feeding your baby.
