Rilutek is also known as Riluzole. The drug is prepared in the form of tablets with a weight of 50mg/tablet. It is commonly used to treat Lou Gehrig's disease (a type of neurological disease) by protecting the brain and spinal cord from the body's overproduction of glutamate.

Tiglutik is used to treat a type of nerve disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also commonly called Lou Gehrig's disease). Riluzole in Tiglutik helps slow the progression of this disease and prolong survival. However, it is not a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and it does not reverse nerve damage or muscle weakness.
