Pneumothorax is a pathology in which air accumulates in the pleural cavity, causing the lung to passively collapse, affecting the respiratory function of the body. Pneumothorax has many different causes as well as ways of diagnosis and treatment, depending on whether it is spontaneous pneumothorax or recurrent pneumothorax.
