Prediction of malignancy risk of non-massive lesions on ultrasonography
Non-mass lesions account for approximately 5% of all lesions seen on breast ultrasound. These lesions are also known as focal opacities, tubular structures, ductal changes, or non-mass lesions. Non-mass lesions have a wide spectrum of pathology. This spectrum ranges from benign (fibrocystic change or fibrostromal fibrosis) to ductal carcinoma in situ to invasive cancer.
