X-rays are quite sensitive to bone and joint tissue. Therefore, in cases of suspected bone and joint injuries, X-rays are the first imaging tool needed to look for possible fractures, joint displacements or structural abnormalities on musculoskeletal x-rays, in order to quickly intervene for the patient.
