Ovarian mucinous cystadenomas represent a spectrum of neoplastic disorders, including benign mucinous cystadenomas, pseudotumors of peritoneal origin, mucinous tumors of low malignant potential, and invasive ovarian carcinomas. These tumors are closely related, differing only histologically. Early detection and aggressive intervention in any case of ovarian mucinous cystadenomas will have prognostic implications for the woman's future life.
