How is Tularemia diagnosed and treated?
Tularemia is an acute bacterial infection caused by a bacterium called Francisella Tularensis. It is a rare disease that can be transmitted directly from many mammals to humans or through insect bites. Symptoms include sudden onset of headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and nausea. All of these symptoms are accompanied by fever, which can be as high as 40 °C (104 °F).
