Duodenal trauma is one of the most dangerous abdominal trauma, causing severe infection behind the peritoneal cavity. Because duodenal injury or duodenal rupture is not easy to detect clinically, patients need to be extremely attentive to be able to recognize and treat early.

Duodenal injury is a rare lesion in abdominal trauma, accounting for only about 3-5% of traumatic abdominal injuries and is often associated with pancreatic rupture.
