Vingroup's Kind Heart Foundation has officially launched a program to support treatment costs for patients at all Vinmec International Hospitals from now until December 31, 2018.
The beneficiaries include Vietnamese patients diagnosed with fatal cardiovascular and oncology diseases, and diseases requiring emergency resuscitation. The program will cover up to 70% of their treatment costs.
Notably, this treatment support program applies to all patients nationwide (except those having private insurance). It requires no additional priority conditions, like coming from poor or near-poor households, having difficult circumstances, or providing meritorious services to the revolution cause of Vietnam.
Patients at the following departments and centers are entitled to the support: Cardiovascular Center (interventional cardiology, cardiovascular surgery); Oncology Center (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery) and Resuscitation - Emergency Department (stroke, dialysis, thrombolysis). These are all Vinmec’s strong and reputable departments and centers. Vinmec is one of the few hospital systems in Vietnam that masters many complex cardiovascular techniques, the latest being Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) - one of the most modern cardiovascular interventions in the world.
Similarly, Vinmec International Hospitals in Ha Long, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc have adjusted their prices to optimize people’s access to high quality medical services.
In the field of oncology, Vinmec provides comprehensive - intensive - personalized cancer treatment services meeting American and European standards. Vinmec is also the pioneer in Vietnam to apply autologous immune-boosting therapy to support cancer treatment. Notably, Vinmec stays on the cutting edge of emergency resuscitation with a team of well-trained doctors who can closely cooperate with all centers and departments to effectively receive and treat patients in emergencies.
The Treatment Support Program for patients at the Cardiovascular and Oncology Centers and Resuscitation - Emergency Department opens up access to high-quality and affordable medical services at all Vinmec International Hospitals in Hanoi, Ha Long, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc and Ho Chi Minh City until December 31, 2018. The entire budget for the program is part of Vingroup’s VND 1,500-billion fund dedicated to humanitarian activities in the health sector.
“The number of patients with cardiovascular and oncology diseases and those requiring emergency resuscitation is rapidly increasing. Most of them contract serious illnesses, requiring long-term and expensive treatment. The treatment cost support for patients staying in the aforementioned centers and departments will create great opportunities for patients to receive treatment for serious diseases and the best health care services” - shared Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Phu - Deputy General Medical Director of Vinmec Healthcare System.
Previously, in September 2016, Kind Heart Foundation launched a charity program to facilitate free surgery for people of poor and near-poor households, and people with meritorious services to the revolution cause of Vietnam. By continuing to support up to 70% of the costs of cardiovascular, oncology, and emergency resuscitation treatment, regardless of priority conditions, Vingroup has opened up opportunities for numerous Vietnamese people to access high quality and affordable medical services, reflecting the spirit of solidarity of the Kind Heart Foundation and complying with the non-profit commitment of Vinmec Medical System.
