  • Promote healing and minimize the recurrence of burning symptoms caused by ulcers in GERD.
  • The medication is used for a duration of 4 weeks to heal and alleviate symptoms associated with gastric and duodenal ulcers, particularly in the presence of H. pylori.
  • It is also used to treat excessive acid production, such as in Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

3. How to use and dosages of Barole 20

3.1 How to use Barole 20

To maximize the therapeutic effects of the medication, the question of whether to take Barole 20 before or after meals should be considered. As it is a capsule and is taken orally, so

  • Barole 20mg is used before or after meal 1h.
  • Use the intact capsule and drink it with water (do not chew, crush or cut the tablet)

3.2 Dosage of Barole 20

  • For the treatment of GERD-induced ulcers: the maximum dose is 20mg/tablet/day. The maintenance is 4-8 weeks.
  • For the maintenance treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): the maximum dosage is 20 mg/1 tablet/day.
  • For the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers including H.pylori infection: the maximum dose is 20mg/tablet/day. It usually takes around 1 month for the disease to be completely cured.
  • For the treatment of excessive acid production and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: the initial dosage may be 60mg/3 tablets/day. However, depending on the condition, the dosage can be adjusted to increase up to 120mg/day, divided into two oral doses.

4. Contraindications of Barole 20

Barole 20 tablets are contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to Rabeprazole, benzimidazole derivatives, or any component of Barole.
  • Pregnant women.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • When driving or operating machinery.
