The Department of Rehabilitation - Vinmec Times City International Hospital has the function of physiotherapy and rehabilitation for all inpatients and outpatients, patients in Hanoi and the Northern region (both Vietnamese and foreigners), in the fields of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, etc. The Department has the strength of outstanding techniques in rehabilitation for patients after orthopedic trauma surgery, after Cardiac - Thoracic surgery and Pediatric Respiratory Rehabilitation.
About Human Resources
The Department has an Assoc. Dr., three masters and resident doctors, who are doctors with many years of experience in major hospitals under the National and Hanoi hospitals, with high qualifications and dedication to their profession.
A team of 12 technicians who are formally trained, at university and college level, have worked in the rehabilitation departments of major hospitals. The Chief technician is a Master of Physiotherapy, dedicated to patients, qualified and experienced in professional management and administration. - Patients who come to the Department for treatment include both Vietnamese and foreigners with different health conditions and treatment needs are classified into 5 main groups:
- Musculoskeletal group: This group accounts for a high percentage and occurs all year round.
- The most common problems are shoulder pain, low back pain, osteoarthritis, spondylolisthesis, disc herniation, tendonitis, arthritis, periarthritis of the shoulder, etc. With experienced doctors, modern machine systems for physical therapy and a good team of technicians, problems are usually solved in about 2-3 weeks.
- The group of trauma patients - orthopedic: This is the group with the second highest percentage, patients come from many sources
- After surgery at Vinmec; sent from another hospital; patient came by referral. After trauma patients will be carefully examined for trauma and rehabilitation, carefully consulted and have a clear and specific plan for specific physical therapy and exercise plan.

- Group of patients after stroke, peripheral nerve damage: This is also a big group.
- For post-stroke patients, early mobility exercises are applied according to the AVANT program of the World Stroke Association, combined with a pulley system, parallel bars, walkers and many assistive devices within a large gym with wall mirrors to help patients practice actively and effectively.
