1. What is Xywav?


Xywav drug is prepared in the form of an oral solution, with the main ingredients including:

2. What are the uses of Xywav?

3. Contraindications of the drug Xywav:


Hypersensitivity to any ingredient in Xywav. History of allergy to other drugs containing Calcium oxybate, Magnesium oxybate, Potassium oxybate and Sodium oxybate. People who are being treated with sedative sleeping pills. People with severe depression. People who use alcohol too much. Patients with Succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase deficiency. This is a rare congenital metabolic disorder characterized by mental retardation, decreased muscle tone, and ataxia. Children < 7 years old or weighing less than 20 kg.

Using Xywav in high doses or for a long time can cause side effects such as:
Common: Sleep problems including drowsiness, insomnia, abnormal dreams, sleep paralysis, nightmares, sleepwalking, difficulty falling asleep in the middle of the night, excessive daytime sleepiness. Nervous disorders such as feeling drunk, disorientation, blurred vision, dizziness, tremor, confusion, balance disorder, fall, anxiety, nervousness. Cardiovascular symptoms such as increased blood pressure, palpitations, shortness of breath. Digestive disorders such as anorexia, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, stomach pain, diarrhea. Respiratory symptoms such as snoring, nasal congestion, nasopharyngitis, sinusitis. Other symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, attention disorders, sensitivity disorders such as decreased touch, abnormal taste, excessive sweating, swelling, joint pain, back pain, muscle cramps, urinary incontinence control, rash. Uncommon: Psychiatric disturbance may be associated with hallucinations, paranoia, abnormal thinking, incoherent speech or disorganized behavior, agitation, suicide attempts, restless legs, difficulty entering sleep, amnesia, myoclonus, hypersensitivity, fecal incontinence. Use caution when using Xywav in people with respiratory or lung problems, cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, hypertension, impaired liver function kidney. 6. Xywav drug interactions


Interactions with other drugs:
The use of Xywav is contraindicated with sedative drugs such as Lorazepam, or alcohol because it may increase unwanted side effects. Avoid using Xywav with Tramadol as it can cause depression or respiratory depression. Tricyclic antidepressants increase the CNS depressant effects of Xywav. Reduce the initial dose of Xywav when co-administered with sodium divalproex. Using high doses of Xywav with a GHB Dehydrogenase inhibitor caused more severe impairment in some tests of attention and working memory in clinical studies. Drugs that do not affect the effect of Xywav: Modafinil, Omeprazol, Ibuprofen, Diclofenac.
