Uses of Ulceron

Ulceron drug whose main ingredient is pantoprazole is often indicated in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, treatment and prevention of peptic ulcers. However, treatment with pantoprazole may occasionally cause headache, mild diarrhea or, more rarely, nausea or abdominal pain, bloating, and skin rash.

1. Uses of Ulceron

The main ingredient of Ulceron is pantoprazol, a benzimidazole derivative that inhibits gastric hydrochloric acid secretion by specifically and irreversibly inhibiting the proton pump of the parietal cells of the stomach. Inhibition is dose-dependent and acts simultaneously on both basal secretion and increased production of hydrochloric acid. The healing rate (ulcer healing) can reach 95% after 8 weeks of treatment.
As with other proton pump inhibitors and H receptor blockers, treatment with Ulceron can cause a decrease in gastric acidity, which in turn increases gastrin levels with reduced acidity. The reversible increase in gastrin concentrations, due to pantoprazole binding to the enzyme distal to the receptor in the pellet cell, may act exclusively on hydrochloric acid secretion by stimulating other substances (eg, acetylcholine, histamine, gastrin).
Ulceron is indicated in the following cases:
Peptic ulcer disease Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Prophylaxis of peptic ulcer caused by taking NSAIDs Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

2. Dosage of Ulceron

Ulceron drug is usually produced in the form of lyophilized powder for injection, so the main route of use is:
Intravenous injection: mix 40mg of Ulceron powder with 10ml of 0.9% NaCl solution, slowly intravenously for at least 2 minutes. : Mix 40mg of Ulceron dry powder with 100ml of 0.9% NaCl solution or 5% dextran or Ringer lactate. Intravenous infusion should be given over about 15 minutes. Dosage of Ulceron drug depends on the goal of treatment and the subjects participating in the treatment, specifically as follows:
Peptic ulcer, severe gastroesophageal reflux: 40mg/time/day Patients with severe liver failure : dose reduction or alternate days to a maximum dose of 20mg/day or 40mg once every 2 days No dosage adjustment is necessary in patients with renal impairment Children should not take Ulceron because safety and efficacy have not been determined. IV therapy is usually short-lived and should be switched to oral therapy as soon as possible
