2. Uses of the drug Taxedac


This is a prescription antibiotic. Taxedac contains moxifloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic with bactericidal effects belonging to the fluoroquinolone group.
In vitro, Moxifloxacin - the ingredient in Taxedac is active against most Gram-negative and positive bacteria. Bactericidal effect due to the ability to both inhibit Topoisomerase II and IV. These are enzymes that control DNA localization, replication, repair, and replication of bacterial DNA.
The mechanism of action of Quinolones, including Moxifloxacin, is different from that of Macrolides, Beta-lactams, Aminoglycosides or Tetracyclines. Therefore, bacteria that are resistant to this group can still be sensitive to Taxedac
Taxedac is effective against most bacteria, such as:
Staphylococcus aureus; Streptococcus pneumoniae; Haemophilus influenzae; Haemophilus parainfluenzae; Klebsiella pneumoniae; Moraxella catarrhalis; Chlamydia pneumoniae; Mycoplasma pneumoniae; Citrobacter freundii; Enterobacter cloacae; Escherichia coli; Klebsiella oxytoca; Legionella pneumophila; Proteus mirabilis; Fusobacterium species; Peptostreptococcus species; Prevotella species. Taxedac is rapidly absorbed, metabolized by conjugation, and is completely excreted in the urine as unchanged drug.

3. Indications for taking Taxedac

4. Dosage, how to use Taxedac


Taxedac has the effect of treating and preventing eye infections in the indications. To be on the safe side, it's important to use Taxedac correctly.
Taxedac dosage:
Taxedac dosage as recommended by the manufacturer depends on the patient's condition. Accordingly, the recommended dose is 1 drop/time used 4 times/day and continuously for 7 days for a course. In addition, the dose of Taxedac Eye Drops is also subject to the instructions of the medical professional. For the purpose of using Taxedac for subjects to prevent infection in eye surgery, the doctor may prescribe 1 drop x 4 times / day to the area of ​​​​the eye that needs surgery. Taxedac is not used for the following groups of people:
Hypersensitivity or allergy to the ingredients in Taxedac; Pregnancy in the first 3 months; Nervous disorders; Hematopoietic disorders; Keratitis caused by HSV (Herpes simplex virus) Chickenpox ; Other viral infections of conjunctiva/cornea; TB in the eye; Glocom.

6. Taxedac side effects
