2. Uses of the drug Parokey 30

With the main ingredient is Paroxetin - this is a derivative of phenylpiperidin, is an antidepressant of the group that selectively inhibits serotonin reuptake at the anterior synapse of serotoninergic neurons. Low levels of Serotonin in the body are responsible for depression and other related anxiety disorders.

4. Dosage and how to use Parokey 30

Dosage of Parokey 30 for adults:
To treat patients with depression: The starting dose is 20mg/day. After each week, it can be increased by 10mg, the maximum dose should not exceed 50mg/day. For the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder: an initial dose of 20 mg/day. When using Parokey 30 together with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors such as moclobemide, selegiline, confusion, agitation, increased adverse drug reactions in the gastrointestinal tract, high fever, severe convulsions, increased blood pressure pressure. When using Parokey 30 together with Lithium, it changes the concentration of Lithium in the blood. The drug Parokey 30 strongly inhibits the liver enzymes CYP2D6 When using Parokey 30 together with pimozide: 2.5 times increase in pimozide concentration leading to increased cardiotoxicity, prolongation of the QT interval. When using Parokey 30 together with thioridazine: Increases the toxicity of thioridazine on the heart, causing prolongation of the QT interval, torsades de pointes, cardiac arrest. When using Parokey 30 at the same time with tricyclic antidepressants such as: Maprotilin, trazodone: Increases the concentration of antidepressants. When used together with Fosamprenavir, ritonavir: Reduces plasma concentrations of parokey 30. When using parokey 30 together with procyclidin: Increases the concentration of procyclidin. Paroxetin is very strongly metabolized in the liver and can cause liver damage, so do not use Parokey 30 with alcoholic beverages because of increased toxicity on the liver. When using Parokey 30 with drugs such as: Warfarin, coumadin will thin the blood. When using Parokey 30 with NSAIDs and acetyl salicylic acid increases the risk of bleeding. When using Parokey 30 together with pravastatin: Increases blood glucose levels. When using Parokey 30 with drugs that are highly bound to plasma proteins: Increases the concentration of free drugs in the blood plasma and increases unwanted effects.

7. Caution


Parokey 30 may cause unwanted effects such as headache, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, visual changes. Therefore, after taking the drug, it is necessary to avoid jobs such as driving, operating machinery and things that require alertness. Before taking Parokey 30, tell your doctor if you have any health problems such as: eye disease, heart failure, liver, kidney, epilepsy, diabetes, high blood pressure, money. History of seizures or bleeding disorders, receiving electroconvulsive therapy. Parokey 30 has a risk of causing birth defects in the fetus when the mother uses it in the first 3 months of pregnancy. Using Parokey 30 in the last 3 months of pregnancy increases the risk of persistent pulmonary hypertension in the newborn, not enough oxygen in the baby's blood. Therefore, only use Parokey 30 when absolutely necessary, the benefits outweigh the risks.
