Rubella (also known as German measles or 3-day measles) is a benign infectious disease caused by the Rubella virus. This disease is transmitted through the respiratory tract when a normal person inhales nasal secretions (saliva, nasal mucus) containing the Rubella virus of a sick person, when in direct contact with a sick person, when in contact with objects (floors, tables, chairs, toys...) contaminated with nasal secretions of a sick person.
