Esophageal papilloma is a benign, rare epithelial tumor, accounting for 0.01 - 0.45% of patients undergoing upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. On histopathology, the characteristic lesion is a finger-like papilla due to an increase in the number of squamous cells in the esophagus.
