Parotid salivary gland stones and stenon duct stones are common conditions, accounting for about 20% of the causes of salivary gland stones in general. Stenon duct stone removal is a treatment to remove stones located in the duct, limiting the risk of obstruction causing inflammation of the salivary gland.
