How long does it take for children to have bronchiolitis?
Is an acute viral inflammatory disease of the small bronchi, characterized by acute inflammation, edema, obstruction and necrosis of small airway epithelial cells, increased mucus production and bronchiole constriction. The disease mainly occurs in children under 2 years of age with clinical symptoms characterized by cough, wheezing, rapid breathing and/or chest wall retractions.
