Caring for patients with percutaneous pyelonephritis
Urinary tract obstruction is a fairly common condition in clinical practice caused by various causes. This obstruction will cause urine to stagnate in the kidney, leading to increased pressure in the renal pelvis and collecting duct system. If this condition persists, it will cause the kidney to dilate, the renal parenchyma to thin, and urine to reflux into the general circulatory system, even causing acute renal failure, pyelonephritis or pyonephrosis. Percutaneous renal pelvis drainage is considered an effective temporary solution to the cause of obstruction until the cause of obstruction is resolved.
