Treatment of hyperkalemia in neonates
Hyperkalemia is common in premature infants, with clinical features related to kidney disease and adrenal disease. Infants with hyperkalemia often have signs of general fatigue, lethargy, refusal to breastfeed, nausea, arrhythmia, decreased or increased heart rate, general edema, and signs of shock.
