Nosebleed is a common symptom, which can be caused by trauma or dry nasal mucosa. Sometimes it can be due to systemic causes such as high blood pressure or blood disease. For bleeding points in the anterior nose, there is an indication to insert the nose wick first to stop the bleeding.

Nosebleeds can be classified into three main types based on the source of bleeding, including Kisselbach's point, arterial bleeding, and diffuse capillary bleeding. If bleeding occurs in the posterior and superior nasal cavities, posterior nasal packing is indicated to control the bleeding. If the condition does not resolve, surgical intervention is required to control the bleeding.
