Melasma is a type of skin pigmentation disorder. Melasma can occur in both sexes but is more common in women. Melasma has two main forms: Melasma and deep melasma, also known as hormonal melasma. Sometimes, clinically, there are cases of both deep melasma and melasma, called mixed melasma.
