Find out anti-angiogenic factor
SFlt-1 is a protein that acts as an antagonist to PlGF (which promotes angiogenesis). Therefore, sFlt-1 reduces angiogenesis and is known as an anti-angiogenic factor. Quantitative testing of sFlt-1 (in combination with PlGF) is often indicated in the early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of preeclampsia.

The relationship between preeclampsia and angiogenesis factor (PlGF)
Preeclampsia is one of the obstetric complications that cause serious consequences for the mother and fetus. In order to minimize the negative effects of preeclampsia, scientists have found that changes in the concentration of pluripotent factor (PlGF) and anti-angiogenic factor (sFlt-1) occur quite early before the symptoms of preeclampsia appear. Therefore, it is possible to quantify pluripotent factor for early diagnosis of preeclampsia.
