MRI images of meniscus lesions
The menisci are two large cartilages located on the top of the tibia in the knee, helping to protect the joint from the stresses of walking, running, and climbing. Meniscal tears are very common and are caused by trauma caused by twisting or excessive bending of the knee joint. MRI imaging of meniscal injuries is a useful tool in determining the extent of the damage and guiding appropriate treatment.
